This project was based on a brief to design a visual identity system for Wellington Zoo, with a focus on creating a cohesive and functional experience for visitors. In response, I developed a series of illustrated animals and icons to be used across signage, maps, and other wayfinding materials. These icons played a key role in guiding visitors to zoo facilities and attractions, making the overall journey more intuitive and engaging.
The illustrations formed the foundation of a clear and recognisable identity system that captured the character and diversity of the zoo. The project explored how visual consistency, simplicity, and carefully considered forms can improve navigation and contribute to a unified and memorable brand experience.
